Al Freedman is a seasoned political operative with over a decade of experience in campaign management, fundraising, grassroots organizing, and strategic communications. He has advised high-profile clients such as Everytown for Gun Safety, Success Academy Charter Schools, and StandUp PAC, as well as various campaigns and elected officials at the city, state, and federal levels.

During his time on the campaign trail, Al led New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s successful re-election in 2022, served as senior advisor on Stamford, CT Mayor Caroline Simmons’ groundbreaking campaign in 2021, and advised Iowa Auditor Rob Sand’s winning race in 2018. In addition to these roles, Al has served on the campaigns of Hillary Clinton, Senator Chris Murphy, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke.

Al is a Connecticut native and a proud graduate of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He lives in Brooklyn, but would prefer to be standing waist-deep in a river fly fishing.
