Anne Emerson
Vice President
Anne arrives at Mercury after more than 10 years in Chicago’s political and governmental arena. Most recently, she served as a deputy director to the City of Chicago’s Department of Finance, after four years as the chief of staff to the Committee on Finance of Chicago’s City Council.

Anne’s career has focused on policy development and implementation through legislative reform and action. She has worked closely with elected officials, union leaders, advocacy groups and candidates, as well as communications and support specialists to develop, implement and message effective and comprehensive legislative and policy strategies.

Originally from Boston, Emerson moved to Chicago after graduating Brandeis University and received her J.D. from DePaul College of Law. She went on to receive an Ll.M. in Child and Family Law at Loyola University, where she specialized in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Anne also has significant work experience in labor and construction, commercial property management, and legislative analysis.

Anne lives in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, and while she never fails to mention she’s from Boston, she has called Chicago home since 2011.
