Jon Reinish is a Partner in Mercury’s New York City office.
Jon Reinish is an expert in client communications needs that exist where media, politics and policy goals meet, with long roots in categories as diverse as health care, education, technology, transportation, global affairs, real estate, criminal justice and civil and human rights as well as electoral politics. Reinish joined Mercury’s New York City office in 2021 as a Managing Director, and in 2023 became a Partner. Prior to Mercury, Jon spent ten years at the Democratic strategic communications firm SKDK; and, before that, served as a communications and political aide to US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) on Capitol Hill and in New York. Jon brings a record as a highly respected strategist who has advised major corporations, high-stakes Democratic political campaigns, broad progressive and bipartisan coalitions, service-driven nonprofits and large foundations as well as advocates, candidates, CEOs and executives in public affairs, public relations, executive communications, regulatory affairs and crisis communications.

Jon is a native of New York, and a graduate of Vassar College and Johns Hopkins University. He lives in the city and the Hudson Valley with his husband, Nicholas Dziekonski.
